Has it ever stuck anyone else as odd on the fight for female equality, that it seems totally stupid, if not contradictory to expect people to still be courteous such as offering chairs to women on the bus or holding doors open for them. It struck me earlier that it seems totally unfair to ask for equality rights everywhere and still expect the same treatment from guys, as if we're better or something... Any thoughts?

Sorry I felt the need to correct the spelling.
Now then, I completely agree with you on the Millis, if we want true gender equality so that all humans can be on the same playing field, we must remove both the detrimental and beneficial part of gender differences. No woman wants to serve a man for being a man, just as no man should do the same thing. Unfortunatly such things are very engraved in western society.
Personally I beleive we should get rid of all gender specific things, especially traditional roles in both the office and at home. The separate bathroom thing can remain though... for now.

sorry about that, I can't spell very well. And the toilet thing? I wouldn't all that a chivalry thing, after all that's a benefit both sides get, to be able to relieve themselves with worrying about what the other gender will think of them

I've been thinking this since grade school. I've met girls who blatantly think they're better than guys because of it. But I think the separate toilets should stay....

Light I recall similar situations I remember girls purposely heckling boys using the safety net "boy's can't hit girls", thankfully that was grown out of, plus I recall my mother giving me the ok to hit a girl if she hit me first.
Now then about the washroom issue, I know we are physically different, but aside from that, what other reasons are there?

I am glad to say I've never been a girl to play on that tact. I'd never harass someone because they weren't morally allowed to hit me for it. Especially as most pf the guys i know probably would hit you ..or hug you oO' Washrooms. Have you noticed the things that run through your head when you're around members of the opposite gender? Slightly less relaxed Watching your body language Always worried they're gunna pick up on something that embarreses you. Do you REALLY want that when on the toilet too?
