New brain studies have shown similarities between gay men and straight women and vice versa. Both scans and infant development suggest biological evidence for being gay as opposed to environmental. However as the author states, the issue is not "clear-cut". www.sciam.com/article.cfm?id=study-says-brains-of-gay

This article doesn't really surprise me at all, as I've always believed that its something you're born with and not something that can be conditioned away. It does gives a good insight as to why it occurs however, found it quite interesting that brain size and blood flow comparisons could help determine if a guy is gay or not, same with women, and actually cause such behaviour. I do however believe that there is some environmental influence on ones behaviours like that. After all a gay guy may act straight his whole life because he's taught it's unacceptable to be gay. the compulsion is till there but it's not expressed properly. Also this article doesn't cover the idea of bisexuals in any way.
